When exactly will the Home Energy Credit section be ready so that I can complete my filing?

You will want to watch for IRS Form 5695, Residential Energy Credits.

The link provided shows the form is available in Turbotax, but when I go to that section it continues to say "This section will be ready soon".  What is up?

Just wanted to chime in to say "me too". I'm a Windows desktop Deluxe user. Bear in mind we're asking about when the step-by-step interview section will be ready. We can all see the underlying form 5695 is ready.

If you click on "Learn more" the topic has not been updated for two weeks in Turbo Tax online.  So while the users are anxious, doesn't seem like Intuit is.

I'm getting ready to go to another tax app if the Residential Energy Credit section is not opened up soon.  I am ready to file my taxes now.  The link provided stated this section would be available on the 21st.  It is still not available in the app and not getting any responses here in the community.

You may have received an automated email indicating that Form 5695 was available. While the form has been finalized, the final software update is still being deployed, and some customers may not yet see the form available in their product.

The update is actively rolling out across all platforms, and full access will be available once deployment is complete. No action is needed from you at this time. Check again tomorrow and/or this weekend to complete filing 5695. If you continue to see this form blocked after this weekend (1/25/26), please tell us in the replies below.

Many of us have received an e-mail saying that the home energy credit section and forms are ready. However, even after updating TurboTax this section is still not ready and has the "coming soon" message still displayed.

After two days of this problem someone from TurboTax needs to respond / send a new e-mail to users.

This is not reflecting well on the company and your customer service.

Still not available in TurboTax Deluxe desktop version for Windows. Just checked and no updates available as of 10:45am Central 1/26/2026.

It's still not available in my Turbo Tax Deluxe Windows version, either.

You may need to do a manual update. 

Try clearing your Cache and Cookies and then try this link instructions.

Using desktop software and none of this worked. Tried a manual update, cleared cookies and cashe.

When can we expect that the desktop software will be updated so that it actually works?
