What version of TurboTax should I use if I spent part of the year self-employed in the US and part of the year as an expat employee in a different country?

If you use TurboTax Online you will have to use the Self-Employed version because you have self-employment income. If you use the CD/Download TurboTax software you could use any version. They all have all the forms. But you should probably use Home & Business because it will give you extra guidance and a more detailed interview for self-employment. All versions will handle foreign earned income.
