What are disqualifying events for child tax credits, if my child is my dependent and meets all other 7 criteria?

My child is my dependent and meets all 7 criteria listed by turbo tax and the IRS to receive the child tax credit. I did not receive any advance payments. Turbotax says he has "another disqualifying event" but does not explain what that means. What could disqualifying events be?

If your child was born in 2021, make sure to answer Yes to the question Did your child live with you for the whole year?

A child who was born during the tax year is considered to have lived with you for the entire year.

Thank you, however my child is not a newborn. I did answer "yes" to the fact that he lived with me all year. Any other ideas?

Try deleting the child and re-entering the child again. Sometimes this will fix a problem for claiming a dependent.

I tried that, and it worked! The child is now my dependent AND qualifies for the Child Tax Credit. Thanks for the idea! 🙂
