We spent $21000 on new energy efficient windows and yet the software says that we get no tax credit? This doesn't make sense to me.

It seems like I should get something as an energy tax credit but maybe I'm not entering the information correctly.

The Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit which included energy-efficient windows expired at the end of 2017. As of this date, it has not been renewed by Congress for tax year 2018.
