We received a 1099-s for the sale of inherited property. The estate still isn't settled and we have not received the money from the sale. Do I need to report the 1099-s?

1099-s says it's for 1/8 of the sale of the property ($3500).

Since all tax documents are reported directly to the IRS, you will want to enter the tax document in the year to which it was issued to have an accurate tax return.
