Virtual Employee eligible for home office tax deductions ?

Unfortunately, you can no longer deduct your home office expenses as an employee.  Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) that Congress signed into law on December 22, 2017, the un-reimbursed employee expenses deduction has been suspended in tax years 2018 through 2025

Virtual Employee eligible for home office tax deductions ?

No, you can’t.

If you're an employee -- someone who receives a Form W-2 for their services -- you can’t claim such a deduction, for furniture or anything else.

Job-related expenses for employees are no longer deductible.  Please see the TurboTax Help article "Can employees deduct any job-related expenses?" below for more information.
