Turbotax is double counting my mortgage interest paid on Schedule E and my Deductions

Ex: on Schedule E I enter $10,000 of interest paid from my 1098; it allocates $2,000 as an expense on Schd. E. Then, on my deductions, view It has me enter what is shown on my 1098 ($10,000); but then shows my total interest paid is $12,000 (the 10000+2000)

Did you enter Form 1098 under your Rental Property first or under Deductions & Credits? If you entered it first under Deductions & Credits, go back and delete (trashcan) that entry. Then go to your rental property and enter it there. This method allows TurboTax to correctly allocate the interest between Sch A and Sch E.
