TurboTax Giving Us and Our Son American Opportunity Credit?
Just finished our return (wife and I - filing jointly). Turbotax said we qualified for the American Opportunity Credit because our two sons were in college in 2017. Separately, I did our the returns for both of our sons and one of them ALSO got the American Opportunity Credit. Is this correct? If not, how do I remove the credit from our son's return. We pay both son's living expenses.

If you are claiming your sons as dependents you will claim the education credits. On your son's returns, edit the PERSONAL INFO and make sure you indicated that he is being claimed by someone else (to make sure you get the correct status). If this does not work, delete the 1098-T entry on his return.
