So on December 8 I realized that the earned income tax credit section of TurboTax it opened and I went in, and I tried to file because I was eligible last year, and now it is saying that I do not meet the age requirement, and I actually have spoken with somebody else, and they said that I do in fact me all the requirements for this credit I think somebody needs to contact TurboTax and let them know that they do not have the correct information for the earned income tax credit. The requirements are not correctly listed as I should be eligible for said credit

What tax year are you asking about? The criteria for the earned income credit for a 2021 tax return is not the same as the criteria for the EIC on a 2022 return.
The 2022 tax year. I’m 22 and single with earned income. It says in fine print you have to meet specific requirements. Or you have to be over the age of 19. The IRS confirmed I would have been qualified for the credit.
Sorry---the IRS has not yet updated its EIC tool. The rules revert to the old rules for a 2022 tax return---you have to be 25 to get EIC unless you have a qualifying child dependent.
@JakeytCT90 - yes, in 2021, a 21 year old with no children would have been eligible but that was a short-lived COVID rule. in 2022, a 22 year old with no children is not eligible.
