Turbo Tax is incorrectly saying that I can't exclude the $ I made on the sale of my home. How can I fix this?

I went through all the Qs and it says we can't exclude the $ we made. It was less than $200,000 and we are filing jointly. It was our primary residence. We lived in it for almost 6 years. We did not sell any other home/property within that time. I keep going back and re-answering all the Qs and it just keeps giving me the same result.

It is a good idea to first clear your cache and cookies - which means removing all of the temporary programs that can gum up your web browser.  If that doesn't work, try using a different web browser.

If that doesn't work I would recommend using the "Live Expert" help in the right upper corner to see if having someone walk you through helps.

Here is a link on how to clear your cache and cookies.

It only has the "live help" if you upgrade, which I am unwilling to do. I know that we qualify for the exclusion.

If you didn't receive a form 1099-S reporting the sale, you don't need to enter the sale information on your tax return if the gain is not taxable.

You can try deleting the Home Sale Worksheet and re-entering your home sale information. A simple way to delete forms in TurboTax online is to use the Tax Tools menu option, which is on your left menu bar when you are working in your program. Then, choose Tools and then Delete a form.

If you are working in the download TurboTax program, use the Forms Mode on your menu bar to bring up the form you want to delete, then choose the Delete Form option at the bottom of the form.

Thank you so much! I deleted the form, and re-entered all the info (exactly the same as before...) and it said I qualify.
