Hello - I am getting an error in TT Business that I can't figure out. I have an entry on 1099-DIV for Box 5 (Section 199A dividends). But TT is not generating a form 8895 properly? I have tried quickzoom on QBI Deductions Wks. What am I doing wrong?

if the income is being distributed to the beneficiaries, there is no 8995 for the Trust. Rather, the QBI info is detailed on the k-1s and is passed through to them. The QBI deduction is calculated on their return
hi Mike,
the trust made no distributions . There is QBI and should be an 8895 form. What I am getting when I run the federal review is one error - it states that there is QBI (of $288) and a 8895 form must be included with the return. But TT Business does not create the 8895. How can I get TT to create the needed 8895?
I am facing the same issue - did you ever get a response that was helpful?????? If so, Please post - thank you
4 weeks later and Intuit hasn't updated software???????
I just figured out solution - if you click on line 20 of form 1041, a magnifying glass will show up and if you click on it, a Form 8995 (and a QBI Ded Summary) will be added to your form list, and it will be populated with any REIT dividends, and the relevant deduction will appear on the 1041
I am sorry to say that I never received any help at all on this question/problem. I ended up copying the TT file and opening new copy and going through steps quickly again and it generated the 8895 form - no idea why!!
