Tracking mileage for work. When entering in the mileage why doesn't it change my refund amount?

Tracking mileage for work. When entering in the mileage why doesn't it change my refund amount?
If this mileage is for your employment, the deduction is a miscellaneous itemized deduction that is limited. The total milscellaneous itemized deduct needs to be greater than 2% of your adjusted gross income before any of the miscellaneous itemized deductions can be deducted. For example, if you made 100,000 dollars, you would need at least 2,000 dollars in itemized deductions before you can deduct 1 dollar.
Check line 26 and line 27 of schedule. Line 26 is the limit, and line 27 is the deductible amount that is over the limit.
