Why is it not letting me claim my daughter for a non dependent care credit

 To prevent fraudulent returns, the IRS will only accept each dependent's SSN once in their e-file system. If the other parent claimed your daughter as a dependent and they e-filed, no further e-files using that SSN will be accepted.  You will need to print, sign, and mail in your tax return.  Your return will be accepted if you paper-file.
