This year, 2022. we sold a second home and will need to pay capitsl gains. Should we switch from Deluxe to Premier edition this year?

Premier, if you use the Online version , You'll have to use TurboTax Premier, TurboTax Self-Employed, or TurboTax Home & Business to report the sale of a second home, an inherited home, or land. The desktop versions (which you install on your computer), you can use Deluxe or above. 

Where do I enter the sale of a second home, an inherited home, or land on my 2022 taxes?

If you use the ONLINE program you must use the Premier version or higher  HOWEVER  you can use ANY of the DOWNLOADED version sinces they all handle all the same forms.
