Although the forms availability table indicates that Form 4562 is ready to e-file, the final update for depreciation calculations has not been released.
We recommend that you wait a few days for additional TurboTax Online updates to be released, which should resolve the experience you're having with Depreciation.
Unfortunately I couldn't wait and used another service.
Yep, it's February 1st and ANOTHER YEAR of waiting for Turbotax to get it together and provide forms. This is the last step I need and it is yet another year of waiting on this billion dollar cabal to post forms...
This is a big time annoyance and failure to we early filers. Please fix for subsequent years!
So - how can the form be ready to file if the underlying calculations aren't available?
Just another example of TT doing a terrible job of setting and managing expectations. Rather than giving a straight answer, they obfuscate and speak in tongues.
I've seen a variety of "expert" answers on this ... one saying availability "after 2/11/26", another saying "after 2/13/26" ... and by saying "after dd/mm/yy" I suppose they give themselves immunity ("well, dear user, Easter is after 2/13/26 so we didn't lie ...").
Every year TT seems to have one major SNAFU on basic functionality that never gets officially resolved and it's the user community that discovers work-arounds. Last year was printing on the Mac version. A few years before that it was form 1116 Foreign Taxes. I think we've found this year's candidate for FUBAR status.
Yep. THIS. Today's 2/6.
So when will this be officially available online? Thanks
This has been an especially challenging season, due to late tax law changes and losses in IRS staffing, which delayed getting all of the forms and instructions ready to deliver to software companies.
We anticipate the depreciation calculations within the software should be updated after February 13, 2026. Our tech team is working hard to release the updates before that date. Please be aware that this update will affect depreciation for Schedule E (Rental Properties) only. Schedule C (Self-Employment) was updated previously and should be working in all versions of TurboTax.
Also, you can sign up at this link to be notified via email. when the forms are ready to use in TurboTax.

Thank you for the thorough answer. The website still says itās going to be ready āby February if not soonerā and every agent Iāve talked to, all four of them, have given me a different version of ā the forms are ready now and theyāll be rolled out to you soon. Just wait one more dayā. i It is maddening and frustrating that this billion dollar cabal that has a stranglehold over our taxes, canāt do something as simple as making the forms available that are available on the IRSās website currently.
Based on recent updates for the 2025 tax filing season (covering the 2024 tax year), TurboTax has indicated that the "Depreciation and Amortization" calculations (Form 4562) for Schedule E (Rental Properties) are expected to be updated after February 13, 2026.
TT didn't say which February. Maybe it's 2027. I've been an intuit products user for over 30 years, using Quicken, QuickBooks, Pro Series and now Turbo Tax. They have certainly gone way down hill over time. I'll start looking for alternatives to their products this year.
Form 4562 for Schedule E is still not available as of 2/12/26. Very disappointing. Is there something wrong?
Will wait till Feb 13th, after that I have my H&R account ready!
It's the 13th and the form still isn't available.
