The system won't let me enter expenses for the Dependent Care Credit that were incurred before child turned 14. It thinks she doesn't qualify b/c she was 14 at yearend.

For Dependent Care Credit, your dependent can't be over 14 when expenses are incurred. My daughter turned 14 on December 27th. But the system seems to default and says she is ineligible for the credit because of that. I can't seem to find out how to override it to let me enter the expenses....?

Per the IRS, your dependent qualifying child must be under age 13 when the care was provided.

Your qualifying child was under age 13 for most of the last year when the care was provided last year. Since she was 13 and turned 14 this year, she does not qualify.
