Divorce and mortgage question

Hi, I got a divorce and was paying on a mortgage (ex husband took over house/bills) for 8 months out of the year. Can I claim the house for a deduction as well as him?

The deductions for mortgage interest and real estate taxes can be pro-rated between you and your husband, but you can't double-count.
