The casualty loss deduction stopped increasing, even after I added more property losses. Is there a cap on this deduction? I'm using 2016 & this is a personal loss.

Not a cap so much as there will come a time when increasing deductions will do nothing more for you ... since you have the downloaded program switch to the FORMS mode and look at the form 1040 & Sch A before & after the differences to see what is happening ... you may be hitting an Alternative Minimum Tax situation.

Turbotax is not asking me about deductible contributions elected non-deductible for IRA and generating a form 8606 like it should and has in past years. Any suggestions?
