I’m moving to another state, can I use my relocation expenses to pay for storage for 6-12 months until I can purchase a permanent home or is really only for 30 days?

Here's the IRS rule on storage expenses:

You can include the cost of storing and insuring household goods and personal effects within any period of 30 consecutive days after the day your things are moved from your former home and before they are delivered to your new home.  https://www.irs.gov/publications/p521

Thanks, I feel the term of “within any period of 30 days” was not as clear as a “maximum” or “limit” of 30 day period which is what I was seeking clarification on. With your comment and  similar questions below I now have my answer, Thank you.
