I put in new window and got $0 energy credit, why?

Most of the easy credits, like that one, were eliminated for 2018 on Federal tax returns.

The only credits that remain are for solar and wind energy, geothermal heating/cooling, and Fuel cells.

___________

The entries remain in the software because, sometimes the Feds pass retroactive tax bills that allow them at a later date, or sometimes a few states may have some energy credits and they use the Federal entries as the starting point.
