It depends. In general, alimony is taxable to the one who receives it, but child support is not. If the medical support was for your children, then that would be considered child support too, and you wouldn't need to report it on your taxes.

But if the spousal support would be taxable if it was court ordered and considered to be alimony.

It depends. In general, alimony is taxable to the one who receives it, but child support is not. If the medical support was for your children, then that would be considered child support too, and you wouldn't need to report it on your taxes.
