Tax Credit for Getting Married

I got married last year and my husband and I are filing jointly this year.  When do we see whether we will be getting a tax credit for filing jointly?  Right now all I see is the amounts from our federal tax refund and state tax refund, and neither comes close to the amount I had thought we would receive for filing jointly.

There is no federal credit for filing jointly. What you get is lower tax rates for you total income. Depending on how close your two income are to each other; i's possible that there is no savings by filing Married Filing Jointly vs. previously Filing Single or (less often) filing Married Filing Separately.
