Sold my home in 2010

I believe you are inquiring about the first time homebuyer credit that was in affect starting in the year of 2008. For the original credit, you had to pay it back over fifteen years, or until you sold or stopped using the house as your primary residence. That credit expired at the end of December 2008. The credit after that did not require a payback, it would not affect your tax return after the year you purchased your house. It expired in 2010. You can learn more here:  2008 homebuyer credit  and for year 2009 - 2010 here:   2009/10 homebuyer credit

If you mean you sold your house in 2010 and needed to pay back the remaining credit but failed to do so, you will have to amend your 2010 tax return. You cannot use TurboTax to do that as the program is not available going back that far. You would likely need to seek the help of a professional tax return preparer.

Sold my home in 2010

If you got the credit in 2008, and sold the home (or otherwise stopped using it as your main home) in 2010, you were supposed to report the event on your 2010 return.  You owed immediate repayment of the credit balance, or a partial repayment, or no repayment, depending on the financial circumstances of the sale.

If you have been paying an extra $500 every year since, that was an error.  You never owed that money, because you should have cleared off the credit one way or the other in 2010.

At this point, you have to lie and say you live in the home, and keep repaying the $500 per year until you close out the $7500; or you will have to file an amended 2010 return to close out the credit properly.  You can claim the annual payments that you have been making incorrectly, toward the amount you owe.  But you will need to do this manually or see a professional, since Turbotax does not go that far back.
