I have legal bills to remove a squatter out of my house in PA. Can I deduct these expenses on my 2018 tax returns? If yes, what section can I do that in? Thanks Brent

If this is a rental house, yes you can deduct as an expense towards your rental income. Just go to rental expenses and enter as professional fees or miscellaneous expense.

So I am clear. The deduction is only for rental properties not your own home. Is that correct?
