I am 66 years old and when I turned 65 started to sign up for Medicare
My wife has a Family plan that covers me and also an HSA account. When I was signing up it mentioned if I was covered by an HSA account I could not sign up for Medicar. Is that true

It’s the other way around. If you’re on Medicare you can no longer contribute to your HSA.
ok so that means I am better off skipping Medicare and staying on my wifes plan with teh HSA. She is 14 years younger than me and I will probably retire in a year or two while she has about 10 years to go before taking early retirement.
In some circumstances there is a penalty for delaying Medicare. I suggest that you call Medicare and explain your situation to avoid any future surprises.
Here is some information on delaying enrollment in Medicare:

Very Helpful Thanks
You being covered by Medicare has not effect on your wife's eligibility to contribute to her HSA. It only affects your eligibility for you to contribute to your own HSA.
