Yes, if you are self-employed, you can enter your gross income and deduct expenses in Schedule C.
To Enter Schedule C, in the Self-Employed TurboTax Online version:
- Click on the Federal Taxes tab
- Click on Income and Expenses
- You may see a prompt for Self-Employment, but if not
- Click on Check for More Income and See All Income
- Scroll down to the Self-Employment section with the blue person icon
- Click on Show More
- And Start or Revisit
- Turbo Tax will ask questions about your self-employment and there are blue buttons for Add income for this work for 1099s and cash income and Add Expenses for this work. Follow the onscreen instructions.
