Should I file my taxes as Married Filing Jointly if I started my own owner operator truck driving company in July 2016.
I am sole owner of the LLC. I have an EIN and show no profit for this year as it's a new start up, lots of expenses, loans to repay, mileage, etc. I use Quick Books Self Employed and initiated an export for the 2016 tax year. Before I get too far into the filing, I wanted to make sure I can file Married Filing Jointly or if I should file separate. My wife has a regular 9-5 position not related to company in any way and is not listed in the Articles. Thanks for the reply.

Married filing jointly is almost always the best way to file. Having a self-employed business doesn't change that.
