Schedule E Showing in State Return for a Property I sold in 2024 and no longer own

In doing my 2025 return using Turbo Tax Desktop, when I get to the PA State return, it shows a rental property that I sold in 2024 abd is asking me quesion about my rental income.  How do i remove this asset from my return?  I cannot figure it out

When you sold the property in 2024, you should have gone through all of your assets on the sch E disposing of them.  The Sch E would not have a sold property listed the next year. Perhaps you forgot to sell the property inside the sch E? You may need to take a hard look at your 2024 return and make sure the property and associated assets were properly disposed of within the program.

If your 2024 is correct, you will need to delete the property from your Sch E and continue on with your return. There should be a trashcan button or questions inside that ask if it was still rental property. Be sure to mark no to rental income and remove property.

Thank You, I did go back and verify that on our 2024 return we did check the box for "we sold this property" and it shows the property was disposed of.   In my 2025 return for Federal there is no Schedule E, Is there a TurboTax glitch that the Schedule E was carried over into my PA state return for 2025 if I have no Schedule E for my Federal return.  Am I simply OK by going ahead and deleting the Scehdule E from my PA State return?

Yes, since you have confirmed your prior year return reported the sale correctly, you can delete the form from your list of PA State forms.
