Reside in canada, work in usa, pay taxes in both countries on usa income, can i claim taxes amount paid in canada when filing usa taxes?

Yes, you can.  If you are paying taxes on the same income which you report on both Candian and US taxes, you can claim a foreign tax credit. 

• Sign in to your account, select Take me to my return
• At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in foreign tax credit and Enter 
• Select Jump to foreign tax credit 
• Start with screen Foreign Taxes, select Continue  
• Next screen, Do you want the Deduction or Credit? select Take a Credit
• Follow prompts
