Regarding HSA contribution amount: on the 1099-SA Box 1 the amount says $1,550.15, but on the employers W-2 (W-Box 12) the amount says $1050.00. Which amount is correct?

Both are correct. SA amount is distributed From account; W-2 amount is contribution To account.

Both are correct. SA amount is distributed From account; W-2 amount is contribution To account.

But we used the full amount we put in, so why wouldn’t the amounts be the same?

1099-A = Distributed. W-2 code W = Amount contributed by employer this year.
