Recovery Rebate Credit -- IRS says we owe them extra money.

Im hoping someone can give direction on our position. We filed 2021 and did not receive any stimulus checks in 2021. The IRS sent myself and my wife the letter stating that we each received a check for $1400 that we did NOT receive. After filing and was accepted, our refund was adjusted by the IRS and they tokk teh $2800 from our refund. What do we do????

If you received a letter from the IRS, you can the toll-free number listed on the top right corner of your notice. You will want to have the payment traced.
