We are in Texas. My husband and I are married filing separately - we own a home. Do we file community property? We cannot figure out what this means or what withholding?

Filing separately for lower student loan repayments. Have never seen the community property adjustment in the past - we cannot figure out if we need this

If you are filing separately in Texas (which is a community property state) there are some rules you must follow.  For instructions on how to file in a community property state, see:
