My son is 19 years old and lives with me he is a type 1 diabetic and insulin dependent, can I claim him as disabled on y tax return?

@bayougirllove - no you can't. Here is the IRS definition of "totally and permanently disabled":
"The person can't perform significant duties over a reasonable period of time while working for pay or profit in a competitive work situation for at least the minimum wage because of a physical or mental condition."
Regardless of having T1D, if your son is no longer in school, you provide more than 50% of his support and he earned less than $5,050 in 2024 you can still claim him.
