Self employed medicare B premiums

I am self employed. My spouse's plan covers me, so I can't deduct those premiums. But I pay my own Medicare B premiums.  Can I deduct those premiums?

Self employed medicare B premiums

Yes, you can deduct Medicare Part B premiums directly on your Form 1040 (it does not go on your Schedule C, if you’re self-employed).

Medicare plan B payments are qualified as Self-employed medical insurance premiums and should be entered under Business instead of in the SSA-1099 Social Security Benefits section.

Go back and delete it from the SSA-1099 entry screen.

To get to Self Employed Health Insurance type self-employed (with the dash) up in the search box then click on Jump to self-employed

Then click on Edit or Review by your Business name
Then click on Add Expenses
Scroll way down to Less Common Expenses
Click on Health Ins Premiums then scroll to bottom and Continue
