Reject Code IND-507

If I get the reject code IND-507, how do I find out which child has already been claimed? My husband and I both have kids from previous marriages and one of them has already been claimed, but we do not know which one. How can we find this out?

Reject Code IND-507

The reject code may have a number shown after the IND-507, for example, IND-507-02.

That number after the 507 indicates which dependent has been rejected.  Look at the order of the dependents on your tax return.  If the number is '02' as in the example, then it is the second one listed.
