Recovery Rebate Credit Worksheet on page 59 of the 2020 Form 1040 Instructions for the credit on Form 1040 Line 30.

Recovery Rebate Credit Worksheet on page 59 of the 2020 Form 1040 Instructions for the credit on Form 1040 Line 30.

The worksheet on Line 19 asks if EIP 2, (the Trump 12/27/20 $600 was received) was received. Question is does this mean received in tax year ending 12/31/2020 or in the subsequent year 2021?

Thanks.

It means received.  It is reported on the 2020 federal tax return if received in 2020 or in 2021.

@erikapearl1245 You would enter $0 for the amount of stimulus received if you did not receive anything for the 1st and 2nd stimulus payments, and if any stimulus money is due you based on your 2020 tax return, it will be entered on line 30 or your form 1040 and added to your refund or deducted from your tax due, as the case may be.
