I paid points on my refi mortgage with equity taken out. over the life of my mortgage I have made home improvements. Is that enough to claim the pt?

Since the points are being paid over the life of the loan you can take a deduction as they are paid. This information shows on your 1098 form that you receive from the lender.

So tried to enter paid property taxes but field is autofill only……won’t accept…….we don’t have a mortgage so no doc to autofill from?
