I live in one of my dads houses and I pay him rent. I paid to instal solar on the property. All the documents are in my name with my signature. Can I claim the solar tax credit even though the house t

So basically solar documents are in my name and came from my bank account.

Unfortunately, the solar energy credit is for residential properties only, i.e. properties that you own and use as your residence. You cannot claim it as you are not the owner of the home. Your father cannot claim it either as the property is a rental property.
