I bought a mobile home last year and I was told I had to pay property taxes on it but the lot is owned by Sun community. Do I still have to pay property tax on it?

Perhaps you are paying for lot rent. You should read your sales contract or contact the agent who sold you the home.

Perhaps it was a personal property tax on the mobile home itself, and not the lot.

Sometimes a state/locality will have a subtle distinction between a personal property tax for a non-fixed home and real-estate tax for a permanent structure with the land included.
