How much does a person get per child under 12?

I have four dependants and my friend has one. I made a little more than her but shes getting almost the same amount as I am back for federal taxes.

Everyone's tax return is different.  She may have had more withholding taken out.  And the EIC Credit will will different.

I don't think she did. We are both self employed. I kind of feel like for some reason I didn't get the credit for all four of my child. I just don't know why exactly

Agreed ... the ages of the child, the nature of the income, the amount of the withholding will all come into play so lay the returns side by side to compare the differences.
