Fund raising

I held a fund raiser on FB this year to support a local high school.  FB requested my personal information (to verify me), but that included by address and last 4 of my SS#.  I'm assuming they'll be sending me something for tax purposes.  My question - do I need to claim the money raised as earned income and pay taxes on it?  The school will be giving me a receipt/letter for tax purposes to claim the deduction (if I need to).  I'm just more concerned about how to claim the funds raised from the fund raiser on my personal taxes (approximately $4500.00).  Thank you.

You are not taxed on the money you raise for charity. See the site below for details.
