Filing status when spouse's income is tax-exempt

I recently got married. I'm a U.S. citizen and my husband is a resident alien and an employee of a foreign government and his wages are exempt from U.S. income tax. Will I need to file as "Married filing jointly" or "Married filing separately" since he does not owe any taxes?

Since you are married you would file as married jointly or married separately. Married jointly is almost always the better choice.
