Child care credit for two children

Child support payments give you no tax benefits. Child care credit can only be claimed by the parent with whom the child lives.

You don't get the credit because the law is that only the parent that the children live with can get the child care credit.

In addition, the law is that you can only claim the child care credit if you pay for child care so that you can work. If the children don't live with you, you do not need child care for you to be able to work.
