Can my parents claim electric car tax if they paid for the car, but title is under my name.
Hi, I have a 2018 Prius Prime. The registration is under my name. However, my parent was the one that purchased the car for me and initially drove it off the lot. My question is, are they able to claim the EV car credit even if the registration is not under their name?

No. To qualify for the credit, you must be the original owner of the vehicle. If your parent's never put the car in their name, they would not be eligible to take the credit.

What if my name and one of my parents names is on the registration? Then can either one of claim it or do address have to match as well?
