30% tax credit for solor power installation.

I feel like we got less than the 30% tax credit for installation of solar panels. It seems like we got about 2/3 of that . How do I know that I got the full reward. There was also no carry over to the next year.

It is not a refundable credit which means it cannot be larger than your tax liability.

Look at form 5695

Click Tax Tools on the left side bar

Click Tools that drops down

Click "View My Tax Summary" on the screen

Click "Preview my 1040" that now appears on the left side bar

**Mark the post that answers your question by clicking on "Mark as Best Answer"

Solar deduction states "The tax credit is 30% of the costs for assembly, preparation, and installation as well as piping/wiring." Can I deduct payments made this year?
