Question on form 1116 foreign tax credit - I have entered $162 on form but program has doubled my deduction to $324. Why?

If you entered your foreign tax directly on the 1099-INT (box 6) form in Turbo Tax AND entered it in the foreign tax section, then it will double.

Go back to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid>Foreign Taxes and delete the entry in there.
