Property tax info. has an entry of $0 and won't let me enter the correct amount. It is more than $5,000. Puts me into itemized deductions instead of standard deduction.

Go to FORMS mode and see if you are able to enter the amount directly on the Tax and Interest Deduction Worksheet (screenshot).
