Property Tax adjusted for 2017
We filed our property tax in 2017, and in August 2018 we received the notice of adjustment and we paid additional 1,861 dollars. But for the 2017 taxes. How should a file this situation now?

Property Tax adjusted for 2017
It counts when it is paid so if you are able to itemize for 2018, then this gets added to any other property taxes you paid in 2018.

But if the standard deduction is applied, then no need to file it at all?

Then there is nothing to do, and more and more are taking the standard deduction now due to higher amounts.
