Pennsylvania deductions

New to PA.  Am I reading correctly - PA really has no tax deductions?   Such as medical, which in NJ had been a big help on state taxes.

Yes, you are correct that Pennsylvania law does not allow standard deductions, deductions for personal exemptions, itemized deductions, or deductions for personal expenses.

Pennsylvania deductions

PA does allow deductions for unreimbured business expenses and 529 plan contributions.  See https://www.revenue.pa.gov/FormsandPublications/FormsforIndividuals/PIT/Documents/rev-637.pdf
