My opinion that whether or not this would be accepted in an audit would depend on the auditor assigned to the case. You need to document the reason for the care and be sure to keep the credit card statement as well.
Also, be aware that in order to claim the child care credit, both you and your spouse must have earned income and you must have paid for the care so that you both could work or look for work. If you paid for the care so that you could do anything other than work, then you cannot claim the credit.
